For a day out in nature with friends or family, the Fourth of July Trail in the Idaho Panhandle National Forest has one of the most scenic trails in the state. Located just east of Coeur d’Alene, this trail is 35 miles long, takes several hours to complete, and leads you past some amazing sights, such as Copper Mountain, Marie Saddle, and Curren Saddle.
Take an extended hunting trip and visit the Colville National Forest just north of Spokane. With over one million acres of protected forest, it’s home to biking and ATV trails that stretch for hundreds of miles. It’s only a short drive from both Sandpoint and Bayview, Idaho.
